Physical Therapy for Osteoporosis

By 2020, one in two Americans over the age of 50 is expected to have osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a bone disorder in which the bones become weakened. This can lead to fractures. While suffering a fracture is an unpleasant experience, many individuals do not realize that fractures in the elderly often result in more serious situations. For example, 50% of individuals over 65 suffering a hip fracture will die within one year. This is a serious statistics. At FastTrack Fitness and Physical Therapy, we believe strongly in trying to prevent osteoporosis. We have a special osteoporosis program in place to help reverse the ill effects of osteoporosis. We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment that research has shown to increase bone formation. If you have osteoporosis or know someone who does, don’t wait another day to give us a call. The best medicine for osteoporosis is prevention.
